Elisa Thorn has been playing the harp since age nine and has a Bachelor’s of Music from the University of British Columbia. After graduation, she worked as a solo musician on board the Azamara Quest, performing in over 15 countries across Europe and Asia.
She has performed with the UBC Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Winds, the New Westminster Orchestra, Vivaldi Chamber Choir, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, the West Coast Symphony Orchestra and various chamber ensembles and groups. She enjoys a very busy schedule of teaching and performing at high profile and intimate Weddings, events and venues around the lower mainland.
Elisa’s harp music adds a beautiful, romantic touch to set the mood for one of the most important days of your life. The harp offers a relaxing backdrop as guests mingle, and Elisa creates seamless transitions during the ceremony. Every wedding is different and Elisa is happy to work with you to craft a personal musical accompaniment that perfectly compliments your special day.
Prelude and Postlude: Drawing upon her Classical, Jazz, and Pop/Top 40 repertoire Elisa will put together a light selection while the guests arrive and depart. She is more than happy to take special requests.
Ceremony Music: Processional, Signing of the Registry & the Recessional: For the processional and recessional, there are many traditional songs to pick from, or you can choose something a little different! Depending on your preferences, you can have a separate processional for the bride and the bridal party, or one for the whole procession. For the signing of the registry and any other point in your ceremony you would like musical accompaniment, Elisa can play a favorite from her collection or any special requests you may have.
Reception/Cocktail hour: Elisa has a large repertoire of popular and jazz music perfect for your reception or cocktail hour.
